ensures compliance to DRC procedures and guidelines within the countryDuties and Responsibilities:Programme SupportProvide programme support by following up with partners and collaborating organizations on progress toward agreed technical outputs in Protection Monitoring, facilitating learning and collaboration meetings, and maintaining communication on standards, tools, and methodologies with key staff under the supervision of the Protection Coordinator and Advocacy, Analysis and Communications Specialist.Maintain up-to-date information on protection coordination mechanisms, services and referral pathways in DRC areas of interventionTechnical SupportSupport protection mainstreaming by facilitating risk assessments, monitoring work plans, ensuring regular follow-up with Focal Points on agreed actions, and escalating challenges to the Protection Coordinator as neededSupport and track referral processes, ensuring information is shared accurately and and surveys for Protection Monitoring, following DRC’s questionnaire guides and in adherence to DRC SOPs, overall methodology and sampling approach.Be proactive in reporting to the Protection Coordinator any new observed rights violations and concerning trends reported in interviews or by field staff.CommunicationsAssist the Advocacy, Analysis and Communications Specialist in planning, developing and implementing DRC communication, media and visibility activities in line with donor requirements.Collect visual media e.g., taking photographs, videos etcİn DRC and partner operations to document programme impact and visibility.Collect human-interest stories, photo stories, video content etcFrom DRC operations to share with donors and for DRC internal useOther ActivitiesOther throughout all stages of protection monitoring and media-communications activities.Ensure informed consent is systematically obtained and archived for all data collection activities, photos, videos, methods, journalism, social work, psychology, law and-or other relevant disciplines.Moreover, we also expect the following:Required2-3 years working experience in protection programming, research-analysis, or related roles.Previous experience in protection work and strong understanding of protection principles and standardsPrevious experience in working with an INGO-NGO is an advantageProactivity and ability to work independently, make rapid assessments and sound judgementsExcellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills with strong organizational skills and attention to detailPrior experience in protection monitoring, including demonstrated experience in conducting qualitative and quantitative interviews, is an advantageEssential computer literacy
